/ Defying the impossible

Six years after being told he would never walk again, Zach took on the ultimate test of belief and endurance. In 2018, he walked all 26.2 miles of the London Marathon with a severed spinal cord, becoming the first person to ever do so.The journey took 11 hours and 45 minutes. Every step was painful, deliberate and defiant.

The marathon was not about speed or medals. It was about rewriting what had been declared impossible and proving that progress is built one step at a time.
